Hours: 08:00 till 17:00 Monday to Thursday
08:00 till 15:00 Friday Workchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to fill the position of Warehouse Operative / Van Driver for our esteemed client in Tamworth. The Role is also 90% Warehouse work and 10% driving, a clean UK driving license is required to be able to apply for the role.Responsibilities:1. Safely operate a van or other company vehicles to transport goods from the warehouse to designated locations efficiently and on time.2. Conduct thorough vehicle checks and routine maintenance to ensure safe operations at all times.3. Pick, pack, and load goods onto the van with care, ensuring they are securely stored to prevent damage during transportation.4. Deliver goods promptly and accurately to customers, providing excellent customer service during drop-offs.5. Collect returns, ensuring appropriate documentation is completed and all necessary paperwork is processed accurately.6. Assist with general warehouse duties, including stock replenishment, organizing shelves, and maintaining a clean and tidy working environment.7. Adhere to health and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures to maintain high standards of safety and service.Qualifications:1. Valid UK driving license (Category B) with a clean driving record is essential.2. Previous experience as a van driver or warehouse operative is highly desirable.3. Strong knowledge of Tamworth and the surrounding areas is advantageous.4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues and customers.5. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, demonstrating exceptional time management and organizational skills.6. Physically fit and able to lift heavy items if required.7.
