You will be responsible for ensuring safe and timely deliveries of goods to various locations.Key Responsibilities:- Safely and efficiently operate a car/van to make deliveries across designated routes- Adhere to all traffic regulations and be aware of changing driving conditions- Conduct vehicle inspections, including checking fuel and fluid levels, tires, brakes, and lights- Load and unload goods from the vehicle and ensure their secure transportation- Follow delivery schedules and manage time effectively to meet deadlines- Communicate effectively with customers, addressing any concerns or queries professionally- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption- Report any vehicle issues or accidents immediatelyQualifications and Skills:- Valid UK driving license with category B (car) entitlement- Proven experience as a Car/Van Driver in a professional environment- Sound knowledge of Tamworth and surrounding areas is advantageous- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision- Strong organizational and time-management abilities- Basic computer literacy to complete delivery documentation- Good communication and customer service skillsThis is a temporary position with a competitive hourly pay rate of £10.42 - £10.75.
