This vacancy is for Weekend Days Personal (Care) AssistantsVacancy Summary:We are offering excellent rates of pay for personal care assistants to work weekend day shifts in the Peacehaven area. The option of working one or two days is available.About me, the client:I have a committed and dynamic small care team and I am looking for additional care staff to join. I am an independent man in my early 30’s who has Cerebral Palsy and I am a wheelchair user who needs assistance in all aspects of daily living. I have some complex health needs but this does not stop my zest for life and I enjoy going out during the day, for this reason day staff will need to be able to drive my vehicle. What support I need:As a member of my caring team, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that can vary by the day, so an amount of flexibility is required. Some of the main duties include:

  • Administration of medication and regular stock-taking
  • Moving and handling with a hoist
  • Gastrostomy care
  • Personal care
  • Specialised techniques
  • Assisting me in the community
  • Administrative duties
  • General housework
About you and our requirements:We are looking for personal assistants who are enthusiastic, caring, have excellent communication skills and who are patient. You will be a reliable team player, normally working on a 2:1 basis, be fun, be friendly and dynamic and have previous care experience. You will need to be adaptable in the role and responsive to our clients’ needs; demonstrating a person-centred approach at all times.Shifts will be from 8am to 9pm.You may be required to drive as part of this role so you must hold a full, UK driving licence.An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this vacancy (expense met by HomeCareDirect) What we can offer you:08.00 - 21.00 Saturday = 13hrs @ £16.00 per hour = £208.00 per shift08.00 - 21.00 Sunday = 12hrs @ £16.00 + 1hr @ £17.00 per hour = £209.00 per shiftCompany Pension SchemeEnhanced Bank Holiday PaymentsAnnual Leave is paid at 5.6weeks, pro-rata based on hours accruedExcellent employee support and benefits
