JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE personal Assistant
HOURS varied throughout the year.
Hourly rate: Weekdays - £11.30 p.h. week rate. Weekend rate 14.07 p.h.
Overnight rate £10.42 Plus,there could be additional cover when my current PAs are on holiday/I'll.
We would like the PA to be available to cover holidays/sick for my current PAs when needed.
We need a PA to accompany me on holidays both in this country and abroad from overnight stays to 14 day/night. All expenses are paid, pA just needs to provide own food/drinks. All holidays include regular breaks for the PA.
LOCATION
The job is in mine and my partners home in Holt Park (on the 8 bus route). Bus stops are within a minute to house.
PURPOSE OF JOB
I am a 34 year old disabled woman. I am very independent and like to do as much as I can, but need some support to do everything I want to do.
.The person I employ will have an understanding of the need of my confidentiality in all areas of work including total respect of my privacy.
My personal assistant must be able to handle the physical skills of lifting, pushing and bending. They do not have to be strong to do this, technique is as important as physical strength. Training can be provided for this.
SUPERVISION
My personal assistant will be directed by and accountable to me and my partner in all aspects of their work. They will ask what is required and not make assumptions about any aspect of the assistance I need or how it should be carried out.
MAIN DUTIES
The personal assistant will be required to do the following tasks and may be asked to carry out other tasks of a similar nature. Myself or my partner will inform them of which tasks need carrying out on a particular day.
PERSONAL CARE
• Getting out of bed in the morning and into bed at night
• Bathing/showering/washing and personal hygiene
• Getting dressed/hair etc.
DOMESTIC TASKS
• Washing
• Ironing
• Cooking and preparing meals
• Cleaning up after meals
• Light cleaning
• I am looking for people with a good sense of humour and a positive, cheerful attitude who likes to be out and about and DO LOTS OF WALKING IN ALL WEATHERS. This is
• not a fair weather job. My partner has an assistant dog which we all walk together.
• I need my PA’s to provide back-up cover for each other for sickness and annual leave.
ACCESS TO LEISURE
Accompany me on holidays. Getting trains, planes etc. Getting luggage help transfers to hotels
ANY OTHER REQUESTS I or MY PARTNER, MAY RESONABLY MAKE.
