Are you passionate about supporting young people with multiple and complex needs?

Do you want to make a difference for a young teenager with Autism?

Can you spare 6 hours per week? ie, 6 hours at the weekend or 3 hours x 2 Monday to Friday (Including school holidays)?

My daughter can be shy, indecisive, over excited, bouncy, anxious or everything all at the same time. She would like the opportunity to visit various places in the community, go to gigs, long walks, or other sociable activities. She would need the person who supports her to be very vigilant as she sometimes has no sense of danger or may act unexpectedly/randomly. She does not like loud or startling noises or being asked to do something she doesn’t want to. She can become distressed in these situations and may become non-verbal (just makes noises), she’ll need to be taken somewhere quiet and offered some comfort, but sometimes likes being left to calm down on her own. She enjoys gaming, Sanrio collectables, various types of music (not pop), a variety of Emo and Metal bands. She may want to go gigs, cinema, bowling, or some type of volunteering and the person supporting her will provide opportunities to build life skills. She has a complex mental health history, diagnosed Autistic and awaiting an ADHD assessment which will be discussed further on in the application process.

What we need from you:

The hours can be used at various times but if possible three hours Monday to Friday twice a week or six hours on a weekend would be brilliant.

Driving licence, car and appropriate insurance - preferred but not essential.
