Are you looking for a change and want to make a difference? We are looking for a friendly care assistant to join our team looking after a gentleman with additional learning needs, with all aspects of his life in his own home. We train in a specifically person-centred way. We are a small, friendly, family led trust who manage the care and support of this one individual. We look for potential, personality and a willingness to learn, as well as a driving license.

The job is based in Churchill, North Somerset, but the majority of our existing staff team live in Bristol, half an hour drive away.

We are looking for some special people who are perceptive, able to empathize, have a quick intelligence and who can communicate well with others. Understanding the importance of body language, tone of voice etc. A team player who is committed to working in a person centred way.

The gentleman has 24 hour support so our shift patterns reflect this. The established team is very experienced, you would not be working in isolation.

Daily duties and responsibilities:
* Providing support with daily routines
* Providing support with personal care, such as dressing and personal hygiene.
* Preparation of meals
* Ensuring the home is clean and tidy
* Support with medication
* Support with outdoor excursions, and visits into the local community

We can offer fulltime and part-time post contracts (at £9.69 per hour) and bank posts (at £8.91 per hour) where you choose your hours to fit in with our rota pattern. People often start on the 'bank' rate, and then decide when they want to progress to the permanent staff.

Pro Rata £20,155: (£8.91-£9.69prHr) Holidays and sick pay part of contract; Trust contribution to your pension is 4% (1% more than the usual minimum).
