About the Role
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming and supportive nursery in Canning Town, E16. This is a full-time, all-year-round position offering an excellent opportunity to work within a caring environment where children's learning, development, and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to providing outstanding childcare and education in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0–5 years.
Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework.
Carry out observations, assessments, and contribute to children's learning journals.
Support children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.
Act as a Key Person and maintain strong relationships with parents and carers.
Promote positive behaviour and support children's wellbeing.
Ensure safeguarding procedures and health and safety policies are followed at all times.
Support meal times, personal care routines, and daily activities.
Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
Work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the overall success of the nursery.
Requirements
Essential
Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare qualification.
Minimum 6 months' recent experience working in a nursery or childcare setting.
Good knowledge of the EYFS framework.
Strong safeguarding awareness.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering outstanding childcare.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (preferred) or willingness to obtain one.
Ability to provide two satisfactory references.
Desirable
Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
Experience as a Key Person.
Knowledge of observation and assessment procedures.
Experience supporting children with additional needs or SEN.
