Summary

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Pest Control Officer to work within the Environmental Protection Team, which is within Regulatory Services and Health. The position is for a full-time post, which is 37 hours per week.
About you
The role involves undertaking pest control treatments and surveys in domestic, commercial and school premises. You must have experience of dealing with pests in a range of premises and have detailed knowledge of the various available treatments and prevention methods for pest control. You will also be required to have sufficient verbal and written communications skills to be able to convey information to a variety of customers.
The successful candidate will have:
• A relevant pest control qualification and/or experience pertaining to the work undertaken, which includes the most recent CRRU requirements;
• A detailed knowledge of pest treatments and prevention methods;
• Knowledge and understanding of the Prevention of Damage by Pest Act 1949 and all other relevant legislation;
• The ability to converse at ease with both internal and external customers;
• A flexible approach to work.
