Are you an experienced Behaviour Mentor, SEMH Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor, Pastoral Support Worker, Youth Worker, Support Worker or Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role?

Luma Education Recruitment is working with a highly regarded SEMH school that supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism (ASD), ADHD, and challenging behaviour. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates from education, youth work, residential care, children's services, sports coaching, mentoring or support work backgrounds who are passionate about helping young people succeed.

Key Responsibilities

Support pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD and behavioural needs
Deliver 1:1 support and small-group interventions
Build positive relationships with students and act as a role model
Support behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
Work alongside teachers, pastoral teams and SEN professionals
Help create a safe, structured and engaging learning environment
Encourage positive attendance, engagement and personal development
Requirements

Experience as a Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor, Pastoral Support Worker, Youth Worker or Support Worker
Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, SEND, ASD, ADHD or behavioural needs
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Calm, resilient and proactive approach
Team Teach, PRICE, MAPA or de-escalation training desirable but not essential
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
