Summary


Responsible to: Business Analyst with a demonstrated ability to translate complex business challenges into structured, scalable solutions across both Cloud and on-premises technology environments. Possesses extensive expertise in stakeholder engagement, requirements elicitation and the delivery of end-to-end business analysis across multi-disciplinary programmes and change initiatives

2. JOB PURPOSE: Business Analyst will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and operational teams, analysing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, gathering requirements, and supporting the implementation of process, reporting and system enhancements. The role will focus on improving operational efficiency, governance, reporting capabilities and business performance through data-driven analysis and structured change initiatives.

2. JOB PURPOSE: Business Analyst will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and operational teams, analysing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, gathering requirements, and supporting the implementation of process, reporting and system enhancements. The role will focus on improving operational efficiency, governance, reporting capabilities and business performance through data-driven analysis and structured change initiatives.


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Engage with stakeholders to gather, analyse and document business, functional and non-functional requirements.
• Conduct process mapping exercises to understand current-state operations and identify opportunities for process optimisation and automation.
• Perform gap analysis and recommend improvements to business processes, workflows, controls and reporting frameworks.
• Analyse operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, inefficiencies and business improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external technology providers to support the implementation of system enhancements and business solutions.
• Prepare business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flow diagrams, use cases and other project documentation.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management and implementation activities to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
• Develop and maintain management information reports, dashboards and business performance metrics.
• Work closely with senior management to support strategic initiatives, operational improvements and organisational change programmes.
• Monitor project progress, risks, issues and dependencies and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Support change management activities including training, process documentation and post-implementation reviews.

3. QUALIFICATIONS AND / OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Degree qualified in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Experience in business analysis, process improvement, operational change, finance transformation or related functions.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Knowledge of process mapping, workflow analysis and business process improvement methodologies.
• Experience supporting UAT and business change initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience analysing large datasets.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
• Experience with reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI.
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, payroll, operational controls or regulatory reporting environments.
• Exposure to Oracle, SAP or other enterprise systems.
