Summary
The Growth Company’s (GC) Business Growth Hub (BGH) team have an exciting opportunity for a Contract Officer to develop and maintain effective claims and compliance processes, ensuring accurate verification of outputs and timely funder claims. The role supports project teams with compliance, audit requirements and high-quality documentation, helping ensure full adherence to funder regulations and efficient programme delivery.
BGH supports businesses across Greater Manchester with expert advice on funding, innovation, people, sales and sustainability. We provide tailored support to meet the needs of each business at every stage of its growth journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather, verify and report on outputs, results and impact data, ensuring a robust and fully compliant audit trail for all claims.
Monitor project performance, providing analysis and insight to senior managers to support effective contract management and reporting.
Support project compliance and delivery teams to ensure adherence to funder regulations and contractual obligations.
Contribute to the preparation and delivery of funder audits, ensuring documentation is accurate, complete and well presented.
Work with internal teams, suppliers and external partners to support compliant project delivery and contract claims processing.
Maintain and improve data management systems and processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy and best practice.
Support the management and ongoing improvement of project documentation, procedures and guidance.
Provide support to finance teams to verify and allocate eligible expenditure and ensure compliant financial claims.

Skills Required:
Relevant degree, professional qualification or equivalent business experience.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and strong numerical capability.
Experience of working with complex data sets with a high degree of accuracy.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Experience of managing or supporting publicly funded contracts or similar programmes.
Knowledge of contract compliance, audit requirements and claims processes.
Ability to manage financial and performance data across multiple funding streams.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
