From boardrooms to event spaces, hospitality at Glasgow Campus is all about creating memorable experiences. As a Hospitality & Retail Food Service Host, you’ll set up, serve, and support meetings and functions across this busy city-centre site, ensuring every detail runs seamlessly.
Working Monday to Friday, you’ll bring professionalism, warmth, and energy to every interaction, acting as a true ambassador for ISS and our clients. Whether delivering refreshments in meeting rooms or supporting service in retail areas, you’ll play a key role in creating an exceptional workplace experience.
This is a varied, fast-paced role suited to someone who thrives on interaction, takes pride in presentation, and enjoys serving great food and drinks in a dynamic hospitality environment.
The Role
- Ensure the food and drink offer is the first choice for our customers when they are seeking refreshment and fuel
- Receive, process, prepare and deliver food and drink orders and experiences
- Keep the service and back of house areas in a clean and safe condition
- Deliver exceptional service and engage with your guests queries about our food offer
- Know the offer inside out, and be able to make informed recommendations to our clients
- Maintain a high-profile front of house and be aware of what’s happening during service, and effectively resolve any challenges always ensuring colleague and customer satisfaction
- Monitor the standard and quality of all food & drink; you and the service team will serve as the final quality check for everything that is served and delivered to our customers. If it isn’t right, we change it!
- Keep an eye out for any innovations or improvements we can make to our service delivery, site experience and culture, and share your ideas
- To support the management team to be always audit ready and achieve the highest possible standard, e.g., finance, HS, FS, internal inspections, etc
- Emanate a positive energy during service
About You
- Experience delivering both hospitality & restaurant service
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good time management, ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Customer service skills
- Calm and logical, professional mind set
- Effective communication skills at all levels
