We are looking for a warm, compassionate Personal Care Assistant to support a bright and sociable 66-year-old individual living with Multiple Sclerosis in Burgess Hill.
MS has affected all four limbs, meaning the person in need of support is quadriplegic and a full-time wheelchair user who requires assistance with all aspects of personal care and daily living.
Despite this, she is a positive and upbeat individual who leads a fulfilling life, and we are looking for someone who will support her to continue doing so with dignity, patience and a calming presence.

Duties include:
- Medication prompting/administering
- Personal grooming
- Moving and handling
- Other relevant duties as required
- Administration
- Housekeeping
- Shopping
- Cooking
- Transportation
- Companionship
- Dressing / undressing
- Bathroom assistance
- Management of ileostomy bag and catheter leg bag (training provided)
- Accompanying to the shops, garden centre, and medical appointments
- Supporting therapeutic activities such as card making and baking
- Keeping a safe environment and promoting health and wellbeing
Candidate qualities:

- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties

- Experience with MS is a bonus
