I’m a young transgender lady living in Ringmer with my very supportive family. I have autism and ADHD, dyspraxia, dissociate amnesia, a speech impediment and sometimes selective mutism which can affect my behaviour. I can experience anxiety and depression due to my neurodiversity.
I am currently attending college and would require support on the days I am not studying, currently this is Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday but this may change when I finish college in June. I am unsure as to what the next step for me is and will require support in finding this through support in interviews or putting myself out there to find opportunities?
Times of support would generally be late morning (I’m not a morning person) and anytime PM.
I am looking for a special someone to build a supportive, encouraging relationship with. Building and maintaining a daily routine with prompts and support to help teach me valuable life skills such as helping to prepare simple meals, help with laundry and general encouragement and verbal prompts with personal care (changing clothes and putting them in the washing machine). Help with admin tasks (appointments, paperwork, forms and staying on top of important emails and support with replying) Support to access community-based activities.
You will need to be reliable as I rely on structured support, patient and encouraging with a good sense of humour. Able to provide clear, respectful prompts. Supportive but not overbearing. Comfortable supporting a young adult to build independence. Good communication skills are required not just with myself but with my family and professional network as I may forget to inform them of key details
