Hours: 37.5 per week | Monday to Friday | 8.00am – 4.30pm
Salary: £28,500 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

About the Role

The Outdoor Learning and Educational Visits Support will lead the development and delivery of an ambitious, high-quality outdoor learning programme that provides pupils with regular opportunities to learn beyond the classroom. The successful candidate will design, implement and continually develop a progressive outdoor curriculum that promotes resilience, independence, teamwork, communication, confidence and practical life skills through engaging and meaningful outdoor experiences.

This is a unique opportunity to shape and embed outdoor learning as a central element of the school's curriculum. Combining curriculum development, educational visits coordination, outdoor instruction, risk management and pupil development, the postholder will be responsible for establishing the provision from the ground up and ensuring it becomes an integral part of the school's educational offer.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the strategic development, implementation and ongoing improvement of Outdoor Learning across Robin's Way School, ensuring it becomes a valued and embedded aspect of the school's curriculum and culture.
Design, deliver and regularly evaluate a progressive outdoor learning curriculum that meets the needs of pupils and supports their personal, social and emotional development.
Plan and facilitate high-quality outdoor learning experiences on a daily basis, both on and off site, providing engaging opportunities for pupils to learn through exploration, challenge and real-world experiences.
Coordinate the organisation of educational visits, including transport, staffing and logistical arrangements, working collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure safe and effective delivery.
Ensure all outdoor learning activities and educational visits are fully compliant with OEAP guidance, statutory requirements and school policies and procedures.
Use outdoor learning as a vehicle to develop pupils' resilience, emotional regulation, confidence, independence, teamwork, communication and wider life skills.
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with outdoor education providers, community groups, local organisations and other stakeholders to enhance learning opportunities for pupils.

Experience in educational, childcare, or SEN settings
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond positively to challenging behaviour
A team player with a collaborative mindset and willingness to learn
Full UK driving licence is essential
