Purpose
To provide effective and responsive financial management and business partnership services to budget-holders across the NCHA Group which supports decision making, achievement of objectives and regulatory / statutory obligations.
Main responsibilities
Produce and present accurate, timely monthly management reports showing performance against budget and explanation of variances to support informed decision-making and enable reliable forecasting.
Hold monthly / quarterly meetings as required with budget holders (including senior management) to review and discuss financial performance, key variances and full year projections which ensure delivery of business objectives.
Coordinate and lead the preparation of annual budgets by working closely with budget holders. Facilitate planning meetings, provide financial insight & challenge assumptions to ensure realistic and robust budgets.
Support the Finance Manager in preparation of annual statutory accounts by producing accurate notes and working papers which ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Provide comprehensive support for the annual external audit of the statutory accounts completing assigned deliverables in advance of fieldwork, responding promptly to auditor queries and supplying requested information to ensure a smooth and timely audit process.
Provide financial analysis and input into business cases for service development by including reviewing assumptions, validating calculations, and ensuring financial estimates are accurate.
Promote and ensure compliance with Financial Regulations, Policies and Procedures across the Group, reporting non-compliance as required.
Contribute to continuous improvement of financial management and business partnering services by identifying process enhancements, improving reporting and quality of service delivery.
Provide input into business transformation initiatives as required to support delivery of greater VFM and insight for the NCHA Group and its stakeholders.
Play a key role in ensuring that the NCHA Group�s financial regulatory returns are completed and submitted on time; ensuring entries and records are in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
Manage the financial inputs into service charge budgets across NCHA, delivering reliable financial data, analysis, and oversight to support effective decision-making. Play a key role in preparing and certifying leaseholder accounts, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Support the Finance Manager � Business Partnerships by:
� Deputising and providing cover across senior management accountant roles when required;
� Informing them of any issues affecting the operation of the team;
� Assist in resource planning, team development and regularly contributing at team meetings;
� Working collaboratively to manage change effectively; and
� Providing information for Executive Team, Committee or Board reports.
Support the development and performance of Finance team colleagues reporting to them by:
� Fostering an inclusive culture aligned with NCHA�s Clear values;
� Setting clear performance standards that drive improvement and innovation;
� Leading on recruitment, induction and training;
� Ensuring colleagues remain engaged and focused on delivering high-quality business partnering and financial services.

Knowledge
CCAB Fully or qualified by substantial experience in similar roles over a sustained and lengthy period.
Skills and experience
Proven expertise in financial and audit analysis, including experience in preparing and managing budgets, management accounts, and statutory accounts.
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills. Track record of building and maintaining effective working relationships across teams and departments and different levels.
Demonstrable evidence of strong customer focus.
Highly organised and able to work autonomously, planning and prioritising to meet tight deadlines.
Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems, with the ability to manipulate and interpret complex data.
