Make a real difference in someone’s daily life.
We are looking for caring and reliable Personal Assistants to support a 21-year-old young woman in a village in the Scarborough area.
This is a varied and rewarding role supporting her both at home (1:1) and out in the community (2:1), including occasional outings with her family.
About the role
You will support with:
• Daily routines and personal care
• Community activities and social outings
• Building independence and confidence
• Supporting her interests such as:
o Walks and being outdoors
o Swimming
o Visiting cafés and local places
Hours available
Hours can be flexible; there are three options available:
• Two full days per week, (set days, agreed in advance)
• Two days per week for 4 hours, (set days, agreed in advance. Working alongside the full days position)
• Wrap-around support on three college days per week:
o 8:00am – 9:30am
o 3:30pm – 5:30pm
(3.5 hours per day)

About you
• Kind, patient and reliable
• Comfortable supporting personal care needs
• Happy to go swimming and enjoy outdoor activities
• Likes dogs
• Driving licence essential, (own vehicle preferred but not required)
• Experience welcomed but not essential – full guidance provided
Additional information
• The young lady has autism, learning disabilities and epilepsy
• Personal care is required
• Female applicants only (in line with Equality Act 2010 due to the nature of the role)
