Job Description
We are looking for a compassionate, experienced, and highly vigilant Female Personal Assistant/Carer to support a boy aged 9 (almost 10) who has complex support needs and requires a significant level of care and supervision.

Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support at home and in the community, helping to ensure the child's safety, wellbeing, and engagement in activities he enjoys.

The child is classified as high risk and requires constant supervision. He can be unpredictable and may attempt to:

Run away or leave safe environments without warning
Damage property or break items
Engage in self-injurious behaviours, including biting, hitting himself, and ripping clothing or materials
Struggle with waiting and transitions

He requires:

Support with meals and encouragement to remain seated while eating
Assistance with toileting and personal care (currently wears nappies)
Close supervision at all times, with doors kept locked for safety
Support during transport, including 1:1 travel in taxis to and from school
2:1 support when accessing the community due to safety risks
Community Support

Support will include accompanying him to activities and outings such as:

Trampoline parks
Local play and leisure activities
Visits to McDonald's and other community venues
Walks and outings that promote enjoyment and participation

Specific Requirements
Essential Requirements
Female applicant
Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
Previous experience supporting children or individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours
Knowledgeable about risk management, behaviour support, and safeguarding
Calm, patient, and able to respond appropriately in challenging situations
Highly observant and vigilant, with a strong focus on safety
Reliable and able to work independently while following agreed support plans

Hours Per Week: 4 hours per week
How will the hours be used: One weekend providing 1:1 support at home One weekend supporting community-based activities and outings
