Summary

Role Overview

This service provides residential support within a 15-bedroom facility for children and adults with complex physical and learning disabilities. Each individual’s needs are assessed independently, enabling the development of personalised care plans that ensure tailored, high-quality support.

### Shift Availability

Current opportunities are primarily for ad hoc and emergency shift coverage. Additional hours are expected to become available during school term holidays and summer break periods.

### Induction Requirement

Successful candidates will be required to complete a mandatory 4-hour unpaid induction before commencing work with this client.

### Mandatory Training Requirements

Candidates must hold valid certification in the following areas:

* Fire Safety
* Equality & Diversity
* Food Hygiene
* Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and Children
* First Aid (including Basic Life Support)
* Health & Safety Awareness
* Handling Information
* Infection Prevention and Control
* Moving & Handling
* Oliver McGowan Training
* Epilepsy Awareness

### Mandatory Compliance Requirements

The following documentation must be provided before placement:

* Proof of Identity
* Enhanced DBS Certificate, including the original DBS certificate and active DBS Update Service registration
* Two written references, one of which must be from the most recent employer
* Full employment history from completion of education to present, including explanations for any employment gaps
* Overseas Criminal Record Certificate (where applicable), or a completed risk assessment if the certificate is unavailable
