Summary

About the role:
Provide IT support for the Council’s business applications, resolving user issues, managing service requests, and ensuring systems operate effectively. Working as part of the Applications Team, you will troubleshoot problems, support users of all levels, and escalate more complex issues where required. The role requires strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills to deliver a high-quality ICT
support service.

troubleshooting issues.
• Excellent communication skills, able to support users of all technical abilities.
• Ability to prioritise workload, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a busy
environment.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and supporting
colleagues.
• Interest in technology and willingness to learn new systems, tools, and
processes.
What you will do:
• Log, manage, and resolve ICT application incidents and service requests in line with agreed procedures and service levels.
• Provide user support and guidance across a range of council systems, ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues, applying a logical approach to identify and resolve problems.
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior colleagues or suppliers where required.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, actions, and solutions within the service desk system.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support service delivery and contribute to continuous improvement.
This position has a requirement for a Standard DBS Check
