Summary
Are you a passionate Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioner looking for a rewarding opportunity in a high-quality Early Years setting?
Action Staffing Ltd is recruiting on behalf of our client for two full-time Nursery Practitioners to join a welcoming nursery in Wapping, London E1W. These permanent positions are available within the Under 2s department, with one vacancy in the Babies Room (3–12 months) and one vacancy in the Infant Room (1–2 years).
This is an excellent opportunity for childcare professionals who are committed to delivering outstanding care and education while supporting children's learning and development during their earliest years.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 2 years.
Act as a Key Person, building positive relationships with children and their families.
Plan, observe, and assess children's development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Create engaging activities that promote children's learning and wellbeing.
Maintain accurate learning journals and children's records.
Support children's emotional, social, physical, and language development.
Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals where appropriate.
Promote inclusion and support children with SEND where required.
Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are followed at all times.
Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating nursery environment.
Candidate Requirements
Full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
Minimum 1 year's experience working in a nursery or early years setting with children aged 0–5 years.
Good understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and child development.
Paediatric First Aid qualification is desirable.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Caring, enthusiastic, and professional approach to childcare.
Strong organisational and observational skills.
Desirable Skills
Experience supporting children with SEND.
Knowledge of electronic learning journals.
Food Hygiene and Health & Safety training.
Commitment to continuous professional development.
