We’re on the lookout for motivated and creative individuals with a positive attitude to join us in Greenock as Bank Support Practitioners.

Our bank contracts offer flexibility over the days and hours you work. Tell us when you are available, and we will look to give you shifts that fit. This is a Bank (as and when required) role, meaning shifts will be offered based on service needs. If you're looking for full-time, guaranteed hours, this may not be the right fit, but if you want flexibility, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role:

As a Bank Support Practitioner, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support when it’s needed most. You will help ensure consistent support during staff leave, sickness or training. To build trusting relationships with the people we support, we ask that you ideally pick up 1–2 shifts per week.

You will be part of a dedicated and friendly team, supporting individuals with all aspects of daily living including meal preparation, medication, going to appointments and activities, managing personal finances, support with moving and handling and personal care. You’ll also provide emotional support and assist them to maintain relationships with family and friends. Some individuals have complex communication needs and use different communication tools to meet their needs.

To be a great Bank Support Practitioner, you will bring:

A caring and empathetic nature
Excellent communication skills
Confidence with computers and digital systems
The ability to work well both independently and within a team
Strong organisational skills

Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting with meal preparation and medication
Providing personal care and assisting with moving and handling
Supporting individuals to attend appointments and community activities
Encouraging hobbies, interests, social opportunities and confidence-building
Supporting with budgeting, daily living skills and personal organisation
Providing emotional support and helping individuals maintain positive relationships

No two days are the same, and every shift offers the chance to make a meaningful difference.

Shift Patterns:

Our service provides 24/7 support. As part of the bank team, you may be offered:

Early shifts from 7:30am
Late shifts finishing at 9:30pm or 10pm
Sleepovers
Waking night
Weekends and public holidays
