Summary

Children’s Residential Support Worker
Sudbury

Salary: £32,304 to £35,305 (Inclusive of sleep in's )

Shifts: 14-hour shifts and sleep in's required

In this vital role, you'll support children in a homely setting, engaging in daily activities and helping them build confidence and resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide consistent, caring support to children and young people based on their individual needs.
Act as a positive role model and promote their emotional and physical well-being.
Assist with daily routines, including personal care and activities.
Organise fun outings such as theme parks, sports, and nature walks to foster enjoyment and development.
Support children to develop life skills and encourage independence.
Build trusting relationships and be a source of stability and guidance.
Work as part of a compassionate team led by a registered manager, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Essential Requirements:

Full UK Driving Licence.
Flexible approach to shifts, including sleep-ins.
Positive, caring, and resilient nature with excellent communication skills.
Previous experience in mental health support, SEN, or childcare is desirable but not essential.

Desirable:

Additional training or previous experience working with children and young people with complex needs.
