Summary

Children’s Residential Support Worker (Temporary / Supply Roles)
Location: Fylde Coast & Blackpool (Multiple settings and assignments available)
Pay: Average £14.50 per hour (day shifts) | £16.50 per hour (night shifts / enhanced rates where applicable)
Duration: Temporary / Supply | Flexible short-term and ongoing assignments
Start: ASAP / Flexible

Luma Education Recruitment is currently recruiting compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Workers for a range of temporary and supply assignments across children’s residential settings in Blackpool and the Fylde Coast. Roles vary in length, shift patterns, and settings, offering flexible opportunities to suit your availability and experience.

You will play a key role in providing high-quality care and emotional support to children and young people, helping them develop confidence, independence, and positive outcomes within safe and nurturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide compassionate, consistent care and emotional support to children and young people in residential settings
• Support with daily routines, activities, and individual care and development plans
• Maintain accurate records, including daily logs, care plans, and key worker reports
• Follow safeguarding procedures, relevant legislation, and individual home policies at all times
• Promote a safe, structured, and positive environment for young people and staff
• Work collaboratively with established residential teams across different settings

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people in a care, support, or residential setting (preferred)
• Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent) desirable – training support available
• Full UK Driving Licence (preferred depending on assignment)
• Strong communication skills, resilience, and a caring approach
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) required prior to placement
