Our Development team at L&Q is delivering a range of exciting new build housing development. As a graduate trainee, you will gain hands-on experience across all stages of the development process. You will build your skills in areas like financial modelling, planning, construction project management, stakeholder engagement and property handovers. More than that, you will be part of a team focused on creating places where communities can thrive and where homes, schools, parks and public spaces come together to support long-term, inclusive growth.

By the end of the training period, you will be expected to have:

Completed the Level 4 Project Management qualification and APM PMQ exam
Developed a strong understanding of the development sector.
Contributed effectively to the team’s projects and objectives.
Enhanced the organisation’s reputation by demonstrating a commitment to professional excellence and staff development.
Overview of the role:

We are looking for an ambitious graduate to join our busy Development team, based in London to train as a Project Manager. You will be involved in a wide variety of project management tasks within a development setting. Working closely with internal and external professionals from across the development sector, you will develop technical expertise and gain valuable experience in project management.

You will be engaged in a challenging role from day one and be accountable for your area of responsibility whilst being supported by a project manager and line manager to guide and develop skills where required.

Strong organisation skills are essential to this role as well as excellent communication and an understanding of what first-class customer service skills are.

We are looking for a candidate with resilience, drive, enthusiasm and a passion to help people.

Other essential skills and experience include:

Ability to multi-task and work to deadline
Good IT skills
Self-motivated
Good understanding of Excel
Person Requirements

Passionate about working in development
Demonstrate resilience and tenacity
Strong leadership and communication skills,
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills,
Be commercially minded and a strategic thinker.
Must be flexible in terms of travel
Must be able to work in the UK
Qualification Requirements

A degree in a real estate discipline or similar is desirable, but a passion for development is more important, so we will consider any Bachelor’s degree.
GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and maths (or equivalent)
Graduate programme details:

We will support you to complete a Level 4 qualification in Project Management, with the opportunity to achieve the Association for Project Management (APM) PMQ.
