What the role involves:
Planning and delivering engaging English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Inspiring students to develop a passion for reading, writing, and critical analysis
Preparing pupils for assessments and GCSE examinations
Using a variety of teaching methods to engage learners of all abilities
Tracking student progress and implementing targeted interventions where needed
Contributing to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
What you’ll need:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Experience teaching English within a UK secondary school setting
Strong knowledge of English Language and Literature curricula
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their potential
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
