Computer Science Teacher / Head of Department – Tonbridge
Full-Time | Temporary
Start Date: 1st September 2026
Initial Contract: Until 31st December 2026 (with the potential to become a longer-term position)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Computer Science Teacher or Head of Department to join a well-established school in the Tonbridge area on a full-time, temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students across KS3, GCSE, and A-Level.

The school is open to applications from both experienced Computer Science Teachers and candidates with the leadership experience and ambition to lead the department.

Key Responsibilities
Computer Science Teacher
• Teach engaging and effective Computer Science lessons across KS3, GCSE, and A-Level.
• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons tailored to students of all abilities.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide support to help students achieve their full potential.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental activities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents to promote a positive learning environment.

Head of Department (if applicable)
• Lead and develop the Computer Science department.
• Drive high standards of teaching, learning, and achievement across the department.
• Support and mentor departmental staff.
• Oversee curriculum development and departmental improvement planning.
• Monitor student outcomes and implement strategies to maximise achievement.

Essential Requirements
• Recent experience teaching Computer Science to a high standard.
• Relevant teaching qualification with QTS.
• Proven experience teaching KS3, GCSE, and A-Level Computer Science.
• Current Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Availability to start in September 2026.
