At Miller House School, we're looking for an exceptional SEN Teacher to join our dedicated team and help shape brighter futures for pupils with SEMH, Autism and ADHD.
As an SEN Teacher, you'll bring learning to life through engaging, personalised lessons that inspire curiosity, build confidence and promote independence. You'll work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and families to create meaningful educational experiences tailored to each pupil's unique strengths and needs. Through nurturing relationships, high expectations and innovative teaching approaches, you'll help pupils overcome barriers, develop resilience and achieve outcomes they never thought possible.

What You'll Be Doing
Plan and deliver creative, personalised lessons that engage and inspire pupils with SEMH, ASC and ADHD.
Adapt teaching approaches using inclusive, sensory and structured strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and families to provide a consistent, holistic approach to support.
Monitor, assess and celebrate pupil progress, adapting learning to achieve EHCP outcomes and individual targets.
Encourage independence, communication and self-confidence through positive relationships and nurturing practice.
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation, helping pupils develop the skills they need to succeed.
Create a safe, structured and stimulating learning environment where pupils feel motivated and proud of their achievements.
Contribute to the wider life of the school and play an active role in its continued growth and success.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a teacher who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - ECTs and newly qualified teachers are warmly welcomed
Has a recognised degree
Is passionate about inclusive education and making a meaningful difference to the lives of children with additional needs
Has an interest in, or experience supporting, pupils with autism, communication differences, and complex learning needs
Builds strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
Brings creativity, patience, and resilience to their teaching practice
Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team
Is reflective, motivated, and committed to continuous professional development
Has a full UK driving licence

Miller House School is a brand-new school located in Stoneygate, Leicester. The school opened in September 2025, has a capacity of 80 pupils, and offers a co-educational provision for students with complex needs, including SEMH.
