Summary

Could you be the calm, reassuring presence someone needs through the night?
At Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. We're looking for a Relief Waking Night Support Worker to join our friendly residential team in Exeter, Devon. This is a casual role working 10pm–8am at £13.00 per hour plus allowance, with flexible hours to suit you, whether you're looking for the equivalent of part-time or full-time hours.

Our home supports 7 adults with disabilities and complex needs within an 8-bed residential setting, split across two flats. During your shift you'll typically be supporting just 3–4 people, helping to ensure their safety, comfort, and wellbeing through the night. No previous experience is required as we provide comprehensive, fully-paid training so you feel confident and well-equipped from day one.

For genuine occupational reasons we are looking to appoint a female candidate only (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9).

Personal care and wellbeing
Medication support
Overnight safety and comfort
Everyday tasks as needed

Calm and reassuring, with good judgement in lone-working situations
Caring, empathetic, and reliable
Passionate about supporting people with complex disabilities to live fulfilled lives
