Summary
Support Worker – Monmouthshire
Hours: Day shifts between 7am–8pm
Pay: £14.50-£15.25 per hour
Completely Care is working with well-established supported living services in Monmouthshire and is seeking dedicated and compassionate Agency Support Workers to join the team.
What the Role Involves
Providing person-centred support to individuals within their own homes, supported living environments, and the local community.
Supporting individuals who may present behaviours of concern, responding calmly and professionally to maintain a safe and positive environment.
Assisting with mobility and moving and handling tasks in line with training and best practice, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity at all times.
Supporting individuals with daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, personal care, and maintaining their home environment.
Encouraging independence by helping individuals develop life skills and make their own choices.
Supporting participation in community activities, appointments, and social opportunities to promote inclusion and wellbeing.
Building positive, trusting relationships with individuals and providing emotional support where needed.
Maintaining accurate records, following care plans, and reporting any concerns in line with safeguarding and organisational procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
A minimum of 6 months’ UK-based experience in supported living, residential care, or community-based care settings.
A valid enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to undergo one prior to commencing work.
Manual handling experience and relevant training, with the ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility support.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
A compassionate, empathetic, and person-centred approach, with a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality care and support.
