We're looking for enthusiastic Support Workers to join our friendly and dedicated team at Barnardo's Liverpool Short Breaks Service.

The Role
Support and deliver fun, meaningful activities for children and young people
Work evenings and weekends during term time
Work daytime hours during school holidays

Location
Palmerston School, Minehead Road, Aigburth, Liverpool, L17 6AU
Opportunity to work across additional sites as the service grows

Working Pattern
6.5 hours per week
After school, weekends and school holidays
Saturday availability is essential for 2 posts

What We're Looking For (evidence required in your application)
Experience working with children & young people with SEND (paid or voluntary)
Ability to engage children and young people in structured activities
Warm, empathetic and effective communication skills
Strong organisation and attention to detail
Ability to work as part of a team
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection requirements
A genuine enjoyment of working with children & young people
Experience of personal care or willingness to undertake/learn

Plan and deliver engaging sessions for a range of ages and abilities
Positive and pro-active mindset
Facilitate and record group activities
Ensure sessions run smoothly and safely
Create a safe, fun and inclusive environment
