Our aim is to create a safe, supportive and empowering environment where individuals can progress at their own pace and prepare for greater independence.
About the Role
This role involves working a mixture of shifts, including earlies, lates, nights and weekends, as part of a 24-hour service. Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the people we support.
As a Support Worker, you will:

- Provide emotional and practical support tailored to individual needs
- Support individuals to develop daily living skills such as cooking, budgeting, personal care and maintaining a home
- Encourage engagement in meaningful activities both within the service and in the community
- Monitor and support mental and physical wellbeing
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to support planning
- Assist with medication administration (full training provided)
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, families and external agencies
You will also support individuals to:
- Access in-house development opportunities, including IT skills, life skills, relaxation techniques, healthy living and wellbeing activities
- Build and maintain relationships with family and friends
- Engage in community-based opportunities such as volunteering, employment skills, creative activities, and social groups

- Emotionally intelligent, with a passion for supporting others and making a positive impact in people’s lives
At Milestones Trust we recognise that without the hard work, commitment and passion of our staff, we wouldn’t be the charity that we are today. In return, we are committed to rewarding you with a competitive pay and benefits package including:
- 30 days’ annual leave, including recognised public holidays
- Learning and development to support your career growth
- Nationally recognised qualifications, from entry‑level care to management
- Flexible working, with rotas provided in advance
- Occupational Sick Pay after two years, increasing with service
- Health Cash Plan after probation, offering at least £695 cashback for health treatments (dental, optical, therapies, maternity/paternity, prescriptions)
Enhanced maternity and paternity pay
- Free enhanced DBS check
- Dayforce Wallet, giving you access to your earnings before payday
- Employee referral scheme with financial rewards
- Employee Assistance Programme from day one, offering confidential 24/7 support
- Company pension scheme to help grow your retirement savings
