Hours: 37.5 hours hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8am - 4pm

About the Role

Ashley Park School is a unique and nurturing educational community operating across two sites in Walton and Epsom. We provide personalised, high‑quality education for children and young people aged 5–19. This role is based at our Epsom site, supporting students predominantly within the 11–19 age range.

We are now seeking an inspiring Science Teacher who is passionate about transforming outcomes for young people with diverse and complex needs. If you are driven, creative and committed to helping every learner thrive, we’d love to hear from you.

What you will be doing

Plan, deliver and assess engaging Science lessons for individuals and small groups up to GCSE level
Contribute to nurture‑based programmes that support students’ social, emotional and academic development
Monitor, record and report on student progress, ensuring personalised learning pathways
Develop, implement and review Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Plans
Create a safe, stimulating and well‑organised classroom environment with appropriate resources
Work collaboratively with LSAs, tutors, care staff and multi‑professional colleagues
Support students in developing self‑regulation, independence and positive behaviour
Contribute to whole‑school development, safeguarding practice and the wider School Development Plan
What you will bring

QTS required
Ability to teach Science up to GCSE
Has experience working with young people who present with additional needs or challenging behaviour (desirable but not essential)
Can work effectively as part of a multi‑professional team
Is committed to safeguarding, high standards and continuous professional development
Can adapt teaching to meet individual needs and ensure meaningful progression

Ashley Park School is a brand-new independent specialist school in Epsom, Surrey, for autistic young people aged 5–19, with a capacity for 60 pupils.

We provide a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where every pupil can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Personalised teaching, differentiated lessons, and tailored therapeutic support ensure each pupil’s unique needs and abilities are met.
