Summary
Oakwood Grounds Maintenance is seeking a reliable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our growing team. This role involves maintaining commercial grounds and outdoor spaces to a high standard, ensuring our clients' sites remain safe, tidy, and visually appealing throughout the year.
The successful candidate will be experienced in grounds maintenance, capable of working independently and as part of a team, and committed to delivering quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Grass cutting and lawn maintenance using a variety of equipment.
Hedge cutting and pruning.
Weed control and general site upkeep.
Maintenance of commercial gardens and landscaped areas.
Litter picking and ensuring sites are presented to a high standard.
Carrying out occasional landscaping and improvement projects.
Operating and maintaining grounds maintenance equipment safely.
Completing job reports and communicating with management through company apps and digital systems.
Adhering to all health and safety procedures and company policies.
Requirements
Essential:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or gardening.
Full UK driving licence.
PA1 and PA6 qualifications.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Good communication skills.
Desirable:
Experience using commercial grounds maintenance machinery.
Additional horticultural or landscaping qualifications.
Experience working on commercial sites.
