Luma Education Recruitment is working in partnership with a specialist SEND setting in Loughborough to recruit a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people with special educational needs, supporting them to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging, personalised learning programmes tailored to individual EHCP outcomes, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where pupils can develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs and EHCP outcomes
Support pupils with SEND, including autism, learning disabilities, communication needs, and SEMH needs
Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, families, and external professionals
Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records and assessments
Contribute to EHCP reviews, annual reviews, and wider school life
Promote pupil wellbeing, independence, and positive outcomes
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Experience working with children or young people with SEND
Strong understanding of EHCPs and person-centred approaches to learning
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Enhanced DBS required prior to starting
