Enforcement Case Officer � Waste Education and Enforcement
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organised individual to join the Waste Education and Enforcement Team as an Enforcement Case Officer.
In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to the department, helping to ensure the effective delivery of enforcement and education activities. You will support enforcement workflows, maintain the department�s document management systems, and contribute to clear and effective communication within the team.
The role includes a range of duties such as handling customer enquiries, managing correspondence, processing notifications and invoices, maintaining accurate case records, producing reports, and providing general administrative support to Enforcement Officers and management.
You will play a key role in maintaining accurate, auditable records, supporting internal and external audits, completing data input and validation tasks, and ensuring compliance with Council procedures.
Key Requirements
• Good general standard of education.
• Experience of administrative processes and integrated record management systems.
• Experience working with databases, spreadsheets, and other software systems.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience in a busy administrative environment.
• Ability to deal calmly, efficiently, and courteously with members of the public.
• Proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (or equivalent).
• Experience using finance systems or packages.
• Ability to work on your own initiative with a methodical and organised approach.
• Enthusiastic, adaptable, and self-motivated, with a flexible approach to work.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Additional Information
• The role is based at Telford Depot, Newport, but may require working from other Council locations.
• This is a temporary 6-month position.
• Hybrid working is available, with up to 2 days per week working from home following an initial training period.
• Flexible working hours are available, with start times between 7:00am and 8:00am and finish times between 3:00pm and 4:00pm.
