Working location: Hilda Coles Extra care home, Bridgwater, Westfield close. We are looking for a cleaner to start and finish their work at site. 10 hours per a week, working 2 hours per day Monday-Friday. Start time of 8am but can be adjusted for suitable candidate.

Role Purpose
To carry out cleaning operations of Homes in Somerset run accommodations and
halls.
Accountabilities

Understand, uphold, and promote the aims of the council’s equality, diversity, and
inclusion policies; health, safety and wellbeing of self and others; and
Organisational values in everything you do. Equality and Diversity practice covers
both interaction with staff, service users and communities and includes challenging
discrimination and promoting equality of opportunity for all.
Work as part of a building cleaning team
To work as part of a team, and on own initiative to coordinate the cleaning
operations across Homes in Somerset accommodations and halls to the
specification set by the Supervisor.
To carry out quality cleaning tasks
To conduct all cleaning functions to the standard and specification as set out by
the Cleaning Supervisor. Work in a polite and helpful manner, consulting with
colleagues, staff, and visitors. Manual handling duties such as removal of rubbish
and recycling, vacuuming, dusting. Cleaning of Kitchen areas and Toilets to a high
standard.
Understand Council assets
To have and demonstrate an understanding of Council assets, maintaining
confidentiality, having a professional approach, and conducting day to day
cleaning functions with minimal disruption to tenants, members of the public and
building users.
Reporting of any issues
To identify and report to the Cleaning Supervisor any areas of concern, identified
damage/repairs reported promptly and accurately. Report any issues with cleaning
equipment.
