Summary
Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry – Available for Immediate Locum
Start Section 12 (2) Approved under the Mental Health Act
Experienced Specialty Doctor with broad psychiatric expertise across acute, community, and crisis settings. Fully compliant with Section 12 requirements, able to undertake Mental Health Act assessments, complete statutory documentation, and support inpatient and community teams. Competent in managing complex presentations, risk assessment, and multidisciplinary care planning. Available for ASAP start across NHS Trusts or independent sector placements.
Key Skills & Compliance
• Section 12 (2) Approved – eligible to complete MHA assessments and recommendations.
• Extensive experience across multiple psychiatric subspecialties (listed below).
• Fully GMC registered with licence to practise.
• Up to date DBS, mandatory training, and CPD.
• Familiar with RiO, EMIS, SystmOne, and other EPR systems.
• Strong risk assessment, crisis management, and safeguarding skills.
• Comfortable with on call, inpatient, community, and liaison roles.
