Summary
Key Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with solicitors and other legal professionals to ensure clients receive high-quality legal services and advice.
Communicate with clients professionally to obtain instructions, gather information, clarify matters, and provide updates regarding the progress of their cases.
Conduct legal research and analyse legislation, case law, regulations, and legal precedents relevant to client matters.
Draft, review, proofread, and amend legal documents, correspondence, applications, witness statements, and other legal materials as required.
Provide legal and administrative support to solicitors and lawyers across various practice areas.
Maintain and organise client files and case management records, ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Assist in preparing matters for court hearings, tribunals, mediations, and other legal proceedings, including the preparation of bundles and supporting documentation.
Liaise with courts, tribunals, government departments, legal representatives, and other third parties where appropriate.
Support the legal team in developing case strategies and ensuring effective case progression and management.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and professional obligations, including data protection and confidentiality requirements.
Contribute to the firm's commitment to providing excellent client care and maintaining professional standards.
Essential Requirements
A UK Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent UK-recognised legal qualification.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong legal research, analytical, and drafting abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and legal case management systems.
A professional, client-focused, and ethical approach to legal practice.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Completion of the Bar Practice Course (BPC), Bar Training Course (BTC), or qualification as a Barrister.
Candidates who are part-qualified through the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) route, with relevant practical experience, are encouraged to apply.
Previous experience in Immigration Law, Family Law, and/or Personal Injury Law will be highly advantageous.
Experience working within a solicitor's practice, legal consultancy, chambers, or similar legal environment.
