Job Title
Support Worker
About the
service user
T is a happy sociable 14 year old boy who has a diagnosis of
Autism with traits of ADHD.
T is very active, he likes to be busy! He enjoys being outdoors, he
likes playing football and going to the park, he is passionate about
aviation, fighter jets in particular.
Hours and rate
of Pay
Flexible hours 55.5 available paid at £12.71 per hour – hours to be
used after school, in the holidays and some weekends.
Enhanced DBS clearance is essential.
What you
would be
doing…
Supporting T with independence skills, giving him confidence to
access the community with another trusted adult, doing things
outdoors together like going to the park with a football, socialising
with other young people, building his confidence in social situations
and developing his communication skills.
Some prompting to use the toilet and other reminders will be
required (to be discussed).
The person I
would like…
Experience of supporting other young people with Autism would be
great but not essential for this role, a willingness to learn about
Autism and the challenges it can bring is essential.
Someone who is warm, friendly, culturally mindful, who is reliable
and punctual as routine is important for T. If you have similar
interests to T that would be great.
If you are passionate about supporting young people and enjoy
being outside and active, this family would love to hear from you.
A UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle with
appropriate insurance is essential due to rural location. Mileage
will be paid.
