Summary
This important role helps ensure our busy hospitals, laboratories, accommodation, offices and teaching spaces remain safe, compliant and fully operational at all times. We are looking for someone with strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, installations and equipment, together with the ability to diagnose faults and undertake repairs to a high standard. You will hold a recognised electrical qualification, such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent, and have a sound understanding of current electrical regulations, health and safety requirements, and safe systems of work.
Working as part of a multi-skilled maintenance team, you will undertake both planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities, maintain accurate records of work completed, and work closely with colleagues, contractors and other Estates teams to ensure an effective maintenance service is delivered across the campus.
This role demands a flexible approach to work and will require the successful candidate undertake training as required and occasionally work at our Camden Campus when operationally necessary. You will also be required to participate in the Out of Hours maintenance rota to ensure emergency maintenance support is available outside normal working hours.
