Overview
Working within a busy and successful branch, the Electrical Sales Executive will be responsible for managing customer enquiries, preparing quotations and delivering technical product solutions to an established customer base. This is a desk-based role requiring strong electrical product knowledge, commercial awareness and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving branch sales growth through effective account management, proactive quotation follow-up and excellent customer service, ensuring customers receive the right solutions to meet their requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop relationships with an existing portfolio of customers.
Respond to customer enquiries via telephone and email in a professional and timely manner.
Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for electrical products and solutions.
Proactively follow up quotations to maximise conversion rates and secure sales opportunities.
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to identify suitable products and provide effective solutions.
Provide technical product advice and support to customers.
Negotiate pricing and commercial terms in line with company guidelines.
Process sales orders and ensure a seamless customer experience from enquiry through to delivery.
Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to source products and resolve technical queries.
Identify opportunities to increase sales and strengthen existing customer relationships.
Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity using internal systems.
Contribute to the continued growth and success of the branch.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience within an electrical wholesale or electrical distribution environment is essential.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical distribution products and applications.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Proven experience in preparing quotations, negotiating sales and converting opportunities into orders.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Customer-focused with a personable and professional approach.
Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
Good IT skills with experience using sales, quotation or ERP systems.
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities effectively.
Ambitious and motivated, with a desire to progress into future branch management opportunities.

Competitive up to £55k DOE
Annual bonus of up to 7.5%.
Annual salary reviews each December.
