Teesside University is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and forward-thinking pharmacist educator to support the continued development of our innovative MPharm programme and pharmacist independent prescribing provision.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and ambitious team at a pivotal stage in the development of pharmacy education within the region. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of clinical skills teaching, prescribing education, simulation and practice-based learning across undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy programmes.

We are particularly interested in applicants who are passionate about:

developing clinically confident future pharmacists
contemporary prescribing education
simulation and experiential learning
integrated pharmacy curricula
patient-centred consultation skills
interprofessional and practice-focused education

The role will involve teaching and assessment across the MPharm programme, contribution to OSCEs and clinical skills delivery, and support for the implementation and growth of pharmacist independent prescribing education.

We welcome applications from UK registered Healthcare Professionals holding a prescibing qualification from all backgrounds: community, hospital, primary care, GP practice, specialist services, prescribing practice or academia who are keen to shape the future pharmacy workforce within the North East and beyond.

At Pharmacy@TU, we are building a modern, integrated and practice-focused pharmacy programme designed around the future needs of patients, healthcare systems and the profession.”

If supporting the next generation of pharmacy students to meet the new educational standards, and helping develop the resilience of prescribing within the pharmacy arena is an ambition you could help meet, then reach out to the Pharmacy team at Teesside University for an informal discussion about joining our team at s.weston@tees.ac.uk
