KS1 Teacher – Full Time Maternity Cover
Location: Outskirts of Preston
Start Date: September 2027
Contract: Full time, 5 days per week
Hours: Approx. 8.15am – 3.45pm
Pay: £120–£150 per day (AWR applicable after 12 weeks)
Hannett Hale Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school on the outskirts of Preston. The school is seeking a committed KS1 Teacher to cover a maternity leave from September 2027.
This is a lovely opportunity to join a supportive, busy KS1 team with full time TA support in class. The role is suitable for both Early Career Teachers and experienced teachers who are confident in delivering high quality teaching and maintaining a positive, nurturing classroom environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will:
• Teach a KS1 class full time
• Take responsibility for planning, teaching and assessment
• Work closely with the KS1 team and wider staff
• Provide engaging, creative learning opportunities
• Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents
• Uphold school policies and contribute positively to school life
Requirements
To be considered, applicants must have:
• QTS or equivalent
• Recent or relevant experience in KS1
• Strong classroom management and a proactive, flexible approach
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
All applicants must complete our full vetting and compliance process, including:
• Enhanced DBS check
• Recent, relevant references
• Full safeguarding and registration checks in line with DfE guidelines
