Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Contract Officer - Parks (Gr 8) to join our team and support the management and administration of contracts related to park services and operations. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all contractual agreements are developed, negotiated, and executed in compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including vendors, contractors, and internal departments, to facilitate the timely delivery of quality services that enhance and maintain public park facilities. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in contract management, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment focused on public service. Responsibilities
Develop, review, and negotiate contracts related to park maintenance, construction, and service provision.
Ensure all contract terms comply with organizational policies, legal requirements, and budget constraints.
Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to define contract deliverables and performance standards.
Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any issues or disputes promptly.
Maintain accurate and organized records of all contracts and related documentation.
Provide guidance and training to staff on contract management best practices and procedures.
Assist in the procurement process by preparing tender documents and evaluating bids.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Law, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in contract management, preferably within a parks or public service environment.
Strong knowledge of contract law and procurement processes.
Excellent negotiation and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to analyze complex information and make informed decisions.
Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

End Time: 17:00
