Summary
I am looking for a co-childminder, either someone already registered as a childminder or someone prepared to undergo registration and suitability checks through Ofsted (support will be offered for this). The registration process can take a while so support throughout this process is offered. Shelford Childcare is a home based setting catering for up to 12 children aged 0-5 at a time with a staff of up to 4 working at any one time.
The role is Monday to Thursday 08.00-17.30.
You will enjoy working with children in the 0-5 Early Years age range and supporting their play, development and learning.
Ideally you will be qualified to level 3 or be willing to gain a suitable level 3 qualification. Experience working with children in the early years is essential as is excellent knowledge of safeguarding and the requirements of The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will deputise for the Team lead and take over the day to day running of Shelford Childcare whilst the team lead is on leave. Good interpersonal skills are required along with patience, respect and flexibility as no two days will be the same. The candidate will need to complete Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training if they do not already have this along with 12 hr paediatric first aid.
This post would suit someone wishing to become a childminder who does not have a suitable property.
