Summary

Applications are invited for the post of Student Visa Compliance Senior Officer in Student Administration.

The Student Visa Compliance Senior Officer is responsible for the administration of visa-holding student enrolment and records. The role-holder will work closely with other colleagues in the university including, IT, Marketing and Communications and other members of the Student Administration team.

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised professional to join our Enrolment and Records team, playing a key role in supporting the University's compliance with UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requirements and safeguarding our Student Sponsor Licence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate student visa, passport and CAS records, monitoring compliance with immigration regulations, issuing Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS), reporting changes in student circumstances to UKVI, supporting enrolment and immigration checking processes, and contributing to UKVI audits and sponsor licence renewal activities. You will work closely with colleagues across the University to ensure robust compliance processes are maintained and that international students receive an excellent service throughout their student journey.

Alongside strong compliance knowledge and attention to detail, this role requires excellent technical and data management skills. A significant part of the position involves working with large and complex datasets, conducting data validation exercises, producing reports and identifying opportunities to improve processes and data quality. The ideal candidate will be an advanced Microsoft Excel user, with experience of analysing and manipulating data using functions, lookups, pivot tables and reporting tools.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can use technology to drive efficiencies and improve operational processes. Experience of Microsoft Power Automate, Power Platform tools or similar workflow automation technologies is highly desirable, together with the ability to develop innovative solutions that reduce manual administration, improve accuracy and enhance service delivery.

The role also includes supporting and training colleagues, developing and documenting procedures, servicing compliance-related meetings and committees, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement across Student Administration.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of UKVI compliance requirements, outstanding administrative and analytical skills, and a passion for using technology and data to improve processes and support international student success.

In return we offer a highly competitive rewards and benefits package including:

Generous annual leave entitlement
Training and Development opportunities
Pension Scheme with generous employer contribution
Various schemes including Cycle to Work, Season Ticket Loans and help with the cost of Eyesight testing.
Free parking
