Job Summary:
We are seeking highly skilled and adaptable Registered General Nurses (RGNs) to join our Accident & Emergency (A&E) department at Blackpool Victoria Hospital. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, providing prompt and efficient care to patients with a wide range of medical emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and triage patients presenting to A&E, prioritizing care based on clinical urgency.
• Deliver high-quality nursing care, including administering medications, wound management, and supporting life-saving interventions.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and escalate concerns to senior staff or doctors as appropriate.
• Support patients and families during stressful and emergency situations with compassion and professionalism.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in line with hospital standards.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, paramedics, and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and health & safety protocols.
Requirements:
• Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification with current NMC registration.
• Experience in Emergency or Acute Care is highly desirable.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment.
• Excellent clinical assessment, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work day, night, and rotational shifts.
