What’s the job?
The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As Assistant Night Manager you’ll deliver this through managing all aspects of the front office (for example guest registration, porter services, telephone services, concierge services, and guest reservations). You’ll also create the warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home in any location. Your day-to-day:
To assist manage the functional areas of reception at night, night audit, food and beverage and any guest relations to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction are achieved, whilst maintaining an efficient system for room check-in, check out and audit
What will I do?
Ensure the Night team delivers a great service, professional attention and personal recognition
Ensure guests are greeted upon arrival and make time to engage with guests. Respond appropriately to guest complaints, solicit feedback and build relationships to drive continuous improvement in guest satisfaction
Conduct routine inspections of the front office and public areas and take immediate actions to correct any deficiencies
Assist in managing day-to-day staffing needs, plan and assign work and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to improve team member performance
Educate and train Night team members in compliance with laws and safety regulations. Ensure staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out job duties
Ensure your Night team are properly trained on systems, security, service and quality standards
Check billing instructions and guest credit for compliance with hotel credit policy and ensure all transactions are handled in a secure manner
Supervision of food, wine & other beverages across the Open Lobby/ Functions
Deputise for Night Manager in their absence
Perform other duties as assigned. Also serves as manager on duty
Remain consistent with supervisory approach – always striving for excellence.
Is this the role for me?
Essential Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar supervisory/ management role within hotels
Good organisational skills
Be able to motivate a team
Be over 18 Years Old (For the purpose of licensing)
Advantageous (Yet full training will be provided):
Good knowledge of Opera Reservation System
Food & Beverage Experience
This role is a permanent full-time role, working 5 days out of 7 per week.
Night Shift working 11pm until 7:30am
