Summary

We're looking for a Cleaner to join our Stoke and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue team based in Southgrove School.

Location: Southgrove SchoolHours: 12.5 hours per week (morning or afternoon) - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

Kier Places is recruiting an enthusiastic and motivated Cleaner to join our Facilities Management team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive school environment, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained throughout the premises. You'll be working closely with our cleaning supervisor to deliver quality service in a rewarding educational setting.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Cleaner, you'll be working within the Facilities Management team, supporting them in maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards across the school. Your day to day will include:

-Cleaning and maintaining all areas including classrooms, corridors, bathrooms and communal spaces to the highest standards

-Vacuuming carpeted areas and wet mopping hard floors, ensuring surfaces are spotless and safe

-Emptying waste receptacles, replenishing consumables such as hand wash, toilet rolls and hand towels

-Following COSHH guidelines and colour-coding systems to prevent cross contamination and ensure safety

-Reporting any maintenance issues or pest concerns promptly to your supervisor

What are we looking for?

This role of Cleaner is great for you if:

-You have previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school, office or commercial building

-You understand health and safety at work, including COSHH regulations and the safe use of cleaning equipment

-You can work independently whilst being a collaborative team member

-You take pride in your work and have an eye for detail

-You're reliable, organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively
